Lincoln Bulldog 5500 AC Welder Generator (K2708-2)

The Lincoln Bulldog 5500 AC Welder Generator (K2708-2) is a two-in-one machine: an AC generator rated for 4,000 watts continuous (5,500 surge) alongside basic AC stick welding, aimed at crews who need portable power on a job site more often than they need a full-time welder. What it's for Generator duties cover grinders, work lights, pumps, motor starting, and emergency backup power, while the welding side handles stick electrode up to 1/8 inch using AC current only; there is no DC output and no other welding process on this unit. That AC-only limitation is worth noting if a job calls for DC stick or TIG. Lincoln rates the generator side at 4,000 continuous watts, with a surge capacity of 5,500 watts. Built to move around a job site A 1-1/4 inch diameter tube frame wraps the unit for protection, and patented low-lift grab bars give better leverage for loading it on and off a truck bed. At 255 lbs it's a two-person lift for most crews, but the frame and handles are built around that reality rather than fighting it. Common questions Can it run DC welds? No, this generator produces AC power only. What's the maximum stick electrode size? Up to 1/8 inch (3.2mm). How much power does the generator side put out? 4,000 continuous watts, with 5,500 available at surge. This machine carries a California Proposition 65 notice, as most welding equipment does.
