2016 Chevrolet Malibu 1.8L

This is a used 1.8L LKN hybrid-gasoline engine built specifically for the 2016 Chevrolet Malibu Hybrid, an inline-4 DOHC unit displacing 1796cc. On its own, the gas engine is rated at roughly 122 HP and 129 lb-ft of torque; paired with the hybrid system, combined output is roughly 182 HP. Confirm the VIN code before ordering This long block is matched to a specific VIN code on the 8th digit of the Malibu Hybrid; check that code against your own vehicle before buying, since Malibu engines were offered in more than one configuration that model year, and a non-matching code will not bolt up or run correctly. What is included The long block assembly covers the engine block, head, and internals, with the intake manifold and valve cover included where noted in the listing. The hybrid battery, starter-generator, and ECU are not part of this package unless specifically called out, so plan to reuse or separately source those components from your existing vehicle. Condition Is this engine tested before shipping? Yes, it is fully tested and inspected, then cleaned and prepared for installation. Will mileage be provided? Mileage can be shared for this unit; ask before ordering so you know its history. Because this is a used assembly, expect normal wear from its service life rather than new-engine tolerances, and plan for new gaskets and seals during installation. Can I use a non-hybrid battery or starter-generator with it? Those hybrid-specific components are not part of this long block, so confirm your plan for sourcing them before you commit to the swap.
