Mercury 9.9HP 9.9EXLPT Command Thrust ProKicker Outboard

The Mercury 9.9HP 9.9EXLPT Command Thrust ProKicker Outboard is the remote-control counterpart to Mercury's tiller ProKicker, built on the same Command Thrust gearcase so a heavier boat can hold plane at low trolling speeds. It is carbureted and starts on an electric key. What makes this listing distinct This EXLPT version uses remote throttle and shift instead of a tiller arm, carries a 25 inch extra-long shaft, and has a dry weight of 108 lbs. Inside, the Command Thrust gearcase relies on larger gear shafts and sits deeper than a standard gearcase, which lets it push a heavier hull at idle without hurting top speed. Who it suits Mercury positions this Command Thrust setup to suit soft-hull inflatables, utility boats, sailboats, and aluminum tiller rigs running a second motor for docking and trolling duty. What to check before buying Make sure your boat is rigged for remote throttle and shift, since this is not the tiller-handle version, and confirm a 25 inch shaft suits your transom and kicker bracket height before you order. What comes with it A lanyard stop switch, tool kit, and owner's manual round out the included items, together with a high-thrust, four-blade aluminum propeller built for the Command Thrust gearcase, finished in Phantom Black and covered by Mercury Marine's 3-year warranty. How does this differ from the tiller version of the same gearcase? It runs on remote throttle and shift controls rather than a tiller handle. Which boats suit the Command Thrust gearcase? Soft-hull inflatables, utility boats, sailboats, and aluminum tiller rigs that need extra low-speed pushing power.
