Running it A warning system guards against low oil pressure, running past the rev limit, overheating, and sensor problems. No less than 87 octane, no more than 10 percent ethanol, and Mercury's own 25W-40 synthetic blend oil are what this engine wants, backed by a 3.2 gallon fuel tank.
