This deluxe-dressed, fuel-injected 383 runs a Holley Sniper throttle-body system in place of a carburetor, holding the same 436-horsepower, 443-pound-foot, 10.0:1-compression combination BluePrint builds through this engine family. Installed on the engine The Holley Sniper EFI unit sits atop a satin aluminum intake, fired by an HEI distributor. A standard-rotation, long-style water pump, a harmonic balancer, spark plugs with their wires, valve covers, an oil pan, and a timing cover are all mounted on the engine before it leaves BluePrint. Aluminum heads and a hydraulic roller cam work over the cast steel crank and hypereutectic pistons, and the engine ships with its own dyno sheet from the test run BluePrint performs on every build. Fit notes Like the carbureted Ready To Run 383 above, this one needs a taller hood opening than stock; BluePrint says to call ahead about special build options for Corvette applications specifically. It is not intended for use in pollution-controlled vehicles.
